Today was an interesting weather day here in the Katahdin Region. The forecast called for sunshine yet we seemed to be quite cloud covered. Despite the clouds, Dave was able to get his group of 7 out on the pontoon boat for a morning ride. They saw lots of loons, ducks and kingfishers. With the winds picking up and 40 mph gusts being predicted, Ken took his group out by van to some of his favorite spots. They drove up the Telos Rd and along the way spotted a turkey, kingfishers, a turkey vulture, a hawk, 3 grouse, loons and our beautiful neighborhood fox. No moose sightings today, but we had a good streak going until now.
