One is our resort NEOC | Twin Pines and the other is our Campground - The Penobscot Outdoor Center aka "POC." Positions listed below include river guides for whitewater rafting, video boaters, office and reservations staff, front desk staff, line cooks and servers. We are located in the heart of Maine, just 8 miles from Baxter State Park and Maine's highest mountain - Katahdin. We are also proximate to the many rivers and lakes in the area including the Penobscot River - where we whitewater raft. Our award-winning River Driver's Restaurant is located at our resort on Millinocket Lake and in 2014 we were voted "Best Adventure Resort in New England by Yankee Magazine" a title we were honored to receive. WHITEWATER RAFT GUIDES: NEOC is looking for energetic, athletic, hardworking individuals with a love for the outdoors and a passion for sharing it with our guests. Previous whitewater experience is preferred but we are willing to bring quick learners up to speed. Your training will include River Morphology, Safety Techniques, River Etiquette, Daily Procedures, River Rescue and lots and lots of whitewater rafting! Our facilities are in an amazing location which makes it easy to paddle, fish and hike on days off in the Great North Woods and Baxter State Park.
• 18 Years of old
• Basic CPR/First Aid (WFR preferred)
• Ability to lift over fifty pounds
• Good physical shape
• Ability complete guide training course
• Pay the State of Maine fees of $192.00 for a 3 year license.
• Valid driver’s license

OFFICE STAFF, RESERVATIONS AND FRONT DESK
We are looking for experienced staff to work in the office. Office/reservations staff handles incoming calls for reservations for our four-season resort and book lodging, camping and rafting in summer and sledding and lodging in winter amongst other items. Looking for experienced detail orientated candidates who have experience in either reservations or office positions or both. Knowledge of computers and the ability to deal with occasional to frequent high call volumes a must. The resort is located on Millinocket Lake overlooking Katahdin - Maine's highest mountain. The area has low-cost housing, positions are full time and part-time 20-40 hours per week. Weekend work required sometimes as well as evenings or mornings. At our award-winning River Driver's Restaurant, we hire prep cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers to join our team. We need hard-working, self-motivated, fun and energetic people to come to cook with us. Experience is an asset but we will train the right candidates. ADDITIONAL WORK OPPORTUNITIES
NEOC is always looking for enthusiastic and energetic staff to work in summer and in winter. Late Spring we have a crew that prepares the grounds for summer business and helps us set up our campground at the Penobscot Outdoor Center. During summer we need ground staff at both locations. Experience helpful, but train-ability more essential. In Winter we look for staff to work with some our winter ski programs for area youth, we also need a crew to work with our snowmobile rentals, grooming and plowing.
