Maine Guide, Ken was at the helm as the group set out on Millinocket Lake for Mud Brook, via pontoon boat. They were met with stunning views of Katahdin along the way and even though there was not a moose in sight, they were treated to quite a show by Mother Nature. A pair of loons were showing off with a call and response bit. Another loon did a nice little display dance. Not to be outdone by the loons, a ring-necked duck strutted his stuff. A beaver made an appearance and a kingfisher hung out on a tree branch waiting to swoop in for a fish. Sometimes, it’s not all about the moose…
