Summer is here in the Katahdin Region and we are all fired up to get our guests out on Millinocket Lake for some wildlife watching. We had 3 tours today beginning with Matt and 2 guests on our morning tour. As the group enjoyed the scenic pontoon boat ride they were thrilled to see golden eye ducks, cormorants, kingfishers, a nesting loon (photo below), a deer, a snapping turtle, and 2 moose including a young bull and an old bull. For the evening tour, with Paul at the wheel the sightings were kingfishers, 2 loons, cormorants and 3 moose, 2 cows and 1 calf. We also had a watchable wildlife tour via kayak this afternoon with Tallie as our guide. They were blessed to see an eagle, a beaver, 2 loons and 2 bull moose that they were able to watch and photograph for over an hour. What a great day! Call us to book a tour today 1-800-766-7238.
