Happy Independence Day America! To start this holiday off we had one guest on the pontoon boat with our Maine guide, Matt. As the two made the trip across Millinocket Lake they were delighted to see kingfishers, our nesting loon, painted turtles, 2 does and a cow and a calf. On the evening tour with Matt as our guide once again, he loaded his group of 4 into the NEOC van and headed towards Baxter State Park. After the short hike into Sandy Stream Pond the group saw mallards and mergansers, golden eyes and once again a cow with a calf.
