On this lovely August morning, our Maine guide, Matt and 4 guests loaded onto the NEOC pontoon and headed towards Big Mud Brook. It was a great day for wildlife as they were blessed to see loons and mallards, mergansers and kingfishers, a hawk, a juvenile eagle, cormorants, a black tipped tern, a group of about 30 diving ducks and a cow moose! Nice job Matt! In the evening, with Ken at the helm the group of 13 were able to get out on the lake to enjoy the amazing scenery. They saw loons and common mergansers, kingfishers, an eagle and 2 beaver. Another beautiful day in the Katahdin Region!
