Compass Pond Cabin - Sleeps 6
Compass Pond Cabin offers a peaceful, off-grid escape on the edge of a quiet backcountry pond. This cabin sleeps up to six on wooden bunks (max 12 with floor space) and features a large porch, gray water sink, and detached vault toilet. Available for rent May through November, it's a bring-your-own-everything adventure perfect for those seeking simplicity, solitude, and time in the wild.
Sunday Pond Cabin - Sleeps 6
Sunday Pond Cabin is a quiet backcountry cabin located less than two miles to Baxter State Park, offering off-grid comfort and forested pond views. This one-story, two-room cabin sleeps up to six on wooden bunks (max 12 with floor space) and includes a porch, indoor gray water sink, and detached vault toilet. Available May through November, it's an ideal spot to unplug, explore, and reconnect with nature on your own terms.
Know Before You Go!
Be sure to pack a sleeping mat, sleeping bag, and pillow.
To help you prepare for a safe and comfortable stay, please note the following:
💧 Water: There is no potable water on-site. Please bring your own.
🍳 Cooking: No indoor cooking facilities are available. Bring your own camp stove or Jetboil, which may only be used outdoors.
🔥 Firewood: Firewood is available for purchase at our Penobscot Outdoor Center (you will pass this on the way to your stay).
💡 Lighting: Cabins are not equipped with indoor lighting.
🐾 Pets: Dogs are welcome!
♻️ Leave No Trace: We follow Leave No Trace principles. Please pack out all food, trash, and gear.
🚿 Water Disposal: Each cabin includes an indoor gray water drainage sink.
