Compass pond cabin
- From points south, take Interstate 95 to Exit 244 (Millinocket/Medway)
- Turn left (west) off the exit ramp
- Drive west on Route 157 through Medway, East Millinocket, and Millinocket
- Follow signs for Baxter State Park
- Millinocket is the last opportunity for camping provisions
- Continue through Millinocket following signs for Baxter State Park
- In approximately 9 miles, you will arrive at North Woods Trading Post
- At this point, switch over to the Golden Road (dirt road), which runs parallel to the Baxter State Park Road (paved)
- Continue west on the Golden Road for 6.2 miles from the crossover
- The driveway to Compass Pond Cabin is on the right side of the Golden Road
- It is located across from the River Pond Nature Trail driveway

SUNDAY POND CABIN
- From points south, take Interstate 95 to Exit 244 (Millinocket/Medway)

- Continue through Millinocket following signs for Baxter State Park
- In approximately 9 miles, you will arrive at Golden Road Crossing
- Continue west approximately 5 miles to the “Painted Rock”
- Just beyond the painted rock, turn right onto the 1/4 mile access road to Sunday Pond Cabin
- The road follows a large utility line briefly, then enters a forested area
- Cross a small bridge and continue to the cabin
- The Togue Pond entrance to Baxter State Park is about 2 miles further up the paved road
