We’ve got you and the snowmobile trail covered…

The quality and maintenance of a trail can make all the difference. Here at New England Outdoor Center we know that your snowmobiling experience starts with a great trail.

With 28 years of experience and support from the Twin Pine Snowmobile Club, we’re committed to providing our guests with a safe, fun and family-oriented snowmobiling environment on clear, well-marked, groomed trails.

Twin Pine Snowmobile Club has a fleet of 250 horsepower BR 400 Bombardier diesel groomers (used by major ski resorts) and a dedicated staff of snowmobile trail groomers. The Club makes sure over 130 miles of Maine snowmobile trails in the Katahdin region of Northern Maine are groomed as often as the weather and conditions allow.

Date Trail Report
February 2, 2012

Much Grooming and many changes to the trail report for the Katahdin Region.  Updates on Jo Mary and SnowRovers as well as Twin Pines trail systems  6 to 10 inches of snow fell in the past 24 hours.  Join us for great riding.  All clubs are now grooming regularly with plenty of snow.

We groomed the Down Town and Wild Kingdom Trails as well as the Pole Line today.  This leaves us just the Stratton Trail for tomorrow night and our whole system will be open and groomed!  Come enjoy great mid winter conditions with plenty of snow!

What a beautiful day to snowmobile in the Katahdin Region.  Groomers were out last night and grooming west, north and east.  A groomer from Jo-Mary Riders said that he was actually surprised at how much snow there was once he got out onto the trail system!   Riders yesterday and this morning are reporting that the trails are in awesome shape!!   So, if your staying away because your afraid there's not enough snow, you're missing out on some great riding!

January 27, 2012

This has been a great storm with 6 to 10 inches of new snow and accumulated sleet through out the region.  We will groom Saturday night from Twin Pines and the Timbercruisers.  It has been sleet and freezing rain in Millinocket for the past few hours, but no rain, and now at 10pm it is turning back to snow!  Winter has arrived!

Looks like we will see 4 to 8 inches tonight and tomorrow!  We will be grooming Firday night!  Keep your fingers crossed and we will be able to open up more terrain!

We are finally grooming!  Last week brought lots of snow to the Katahdin Region and we are opening trails up as I type.  ITS 86 east and west with the exception of the pole line is open and groomed.  See individual trail sections below for more detail.
