Kennebec River Rafting

Maine whitewater rafting is great for families, friends and co-workers.

Maine whitewater rafting is great for families, friends and co-workers.

The Kennebec River is located in the heart of Maine’s whitewater country. The river includes 12 miles of fast, deep water that flows daily. The upper Kennebec gorge is where you’ll ride the thrilling roller coaster waves of Big Mama and the Three Sisters, then plunge into boiling Magic Falls. From there you’ll paddle your way down the lower river on sit-on-top kayaks to look for wildlife. The Kennebec is ideal for families and first time rafters. You’re guaranteed to get wet with waves cresting from 4 to 8 feet high!

Minimum age:

The whitewater rafting experience on the Upper River is designed for ages 10 and up. The Lower River is designed for ages 7 and up.

To better serve you, we now outfit trips in the Katahdin Region of Maine, and on the West Branch of the Penobscot River, Maine’s premier river offering a quality, versatile outdoor adventure experience on class I-V whitewater, and backed by our award winning facilities and service.  If you are interested in rafting on the Kennebec or Dead rivers, the New England Outdoor Center is offering rafting through a collaborative partnership with Magic Falls. Please call us for rates and additional information.
