Appalachian Trail hiking may end here, but the fun doesn't. The New England Outdoor Center, located just miles from the south entrance of Baxter State Park and Mt. Katahdin, (the northern terminus of the AT) provides families and friends of people hiking north bound on the Appalachian Trail a great place to stay and be reunited with their friends or loved ones as their months on the trail come to an end.
