Camping in Maine provides friends and family the opportunity to connect
with nature and one another. At the New England Outdoor Center, we know
camping memories can last a lifetime and we are proud to share our campground
with people that appreciate nature as much as we do.
With a variety of lodging options, we can help you find the perfect spot to stay.
Campsites
Enjoy the natural camping experience at our spacious and economical campsites that include a picnic table and fire ring.
Canvas Cabin Tents
Our Canvas Cabin Tents save you the trouble of pitching a tent and feature screened doors and windows, four cots, a light, fire ring and picnic table.
NEW! Bunkhouses
Some might not call it "camping," but it is rustic and provides a level of comfort beyond a traditional tent. Designed comfortably for up to 4 people, our bunkhouses come complete with wood walls, windows, a metal door, electric lighting, 4 bunks with mattresses and a weatherproof metal roof.
We encourage our guests to book vacation packages early as possible. Weekend dates and holidays will sell out fast! Book today, call 1-800-634-7238.Camping before and after your Maine whitewater rafting adventure makes for an unforgettable summer vacation experience.
PET POLICY:
Out of respect to our other guests, proximity to Baxter State Park and for the safety of the animals, pets are prohibited at the Penobscot Outdoor Center (POC). Please consider staying with us at our Twin Pine Camps Cabin location on Millinocket Lake, just 6 miles before POC where we allow pets.
