About the Author: Sarah Hunt is the Communication and Program Coordinator at the New England Outdoor Center. She moved to T3 Indian Purchase in 2009 to marry a Baxter State Park Ranger. She started working for the NEOC in June of 2010. Prior to living in working in the Maine North Woods, Sarah worked for Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine as their Director of Education. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1999 with a BS in Secondary Education, concentration in history and in 2007 obtained her Master’s of Science in Special Education from the Univeristy of Southern Maine. She has a strong passion for supporting local foods, fiber and farms. You can often find her with knitting needles, ski poles or a canoe paddle in her hands. She loves to cook, make bread and adventure with her husband and dogs.
