Three great runs that any serious whitewater addict can't afford to miss.

FULL-DAY HIGH ADVENTURE TRIPS

Full day whitewater adventure tripsDead River High Water:

With 16 miles of wet and wild Class IV and V whitewater, Maine's Dead River is the longest stretch of nearly continuous commercially rafted white water in New England. Each year scheduled dam releases turn this boulder strewn river bed into a whitewater bonanza, and with limited release dates these adventure rafting trips fill up fast.

Kennebec River Turbine Test:

Four times a year Florida Power and Light opens up the dam on the Kennebec River Gorge and releases almost double the normal flow we raft on all summer. Originally a random test of the turbine capacity at this hydro electric generating station, these flows are now scheduled in advance so that you can take advantage of the equivalent of a flood stage release that doubles the normal wave height and more than doubles the Full-day rafting trips excitement of a whitewater raft trip on Maine's Kennebec River.

Penobscot Double Troubles:

Saturdays in June, Thursdays all summer long, and weekends in September we double the fun on the Penobscot for those seeking the ultimate whitewater experience. If you want the best whitewater rafting in Maine, then a Double Trouble trip with NEOC is a must. Double Troubles run the Ripogenus Gorge stretch of the West Branch of the Penobscot River not once, but twice in the same day! Nowhere in Maine will you find this much Class V whitewater.

Penobscot Soft Adventure Trips:

Our full-day, soft adventure trip on the West Branch of the Penobscot River is the ideal guided trip for those interested in an introductory white water excursion. This is a relaxing and flexible river experience.

Guests will enjoy some of the more low-key rapids on the West Branch as well as having some time to "play" on the river. This may include "surfing," climbing under a waterfall, swimming, playing in a natural water slide, or just sitting back and enjoying the magnificent views-including frequent wildlife spotting.

Trip available for ages 6 and up.
