Penobscot Camping & Cabin Tents Millinocket Maine, in the shadow of Katahdin The Rice Farm Campground located at our River Drivers Restaurant, in the Katahdin Region on the banks of the lower Penobscot in Millinocket, offers camping in Maine at its best. This spacious quiet campground offers three lodging options: Campsites, Cabin Tents and Bunkhouses Amenities include the River Drivers Restaurant and bar including a wrap-around deck with outdoor seating, a shower house with plenty of hot water, free use of canoes, horseshoes, croquet, and volleyball, a large hot tub and knock-out views of the Penobscot River. The Rice Farm is also home to two pairs of nesting bald eagles!   The Penobscot Outdoor Center (POC), is our whitewater rafting base lodge for the Penobscot River and is located just 2 miles before the North Entrance to Baxter State Park on Pockwockamus Pond. It is 20 miles outside of the town of Millinocket and provides the closest lodging to Baxter Park and hiking Katahdin. This spacious campground offers two lodging options: Campsites and Cabin Tents Amenities include rafting trips on the Penobscot River, Moose Tours, Broken Paddle Pub and lite fare dining, hot tub, volleyball, hiking, shower house, Satellite TV in the pub, free use of canoes and spectacular views of Katahdin.
