NEOC is always looking for experienced and novice guides to join our staff. We operate on the West Branch of the Penobscot, one of the most technical and dynamic rivers in the Northeast. NEOC is looking for energetic, athletic, hardworking individuals with a love for the outdoors and a passion for sharing it with our guests. Previous whitewater experience is preferred but we are willing to bring quick learners up to speed. Your training will include River Morphology, Safety Techniques, River Etiquette, Daily Procedures, River Rescue and lots and lots of whitewater rafting! Our facilities are in an amazing location which makes it easy to paddle, fish and hike on days off in the Great North Woods and Baxter State Park.
- 18 Years of old
- Basic CPR/First Aid (WFR preferred)
- Ability to lift over fifty pounds
- Good physical shape
- Ability complete guide training course
- Pay the State of Maine fees of $192.00
- Valid driver’s license
NEOC is always looking for experienced kayakers to work as videographers and cooks. Applicants must be confident paddling big water Class IV/V while catching eddies and not swimming!t mind getting paid to paddle!
Application Deadline is April 7th. Level 1 training will be held in late May.
