The Dead River is released only 10 times a year and making this 16-mile stretch of Maine river extremely exhilarating and perfect for thrill-seekers. The Dead River comes alive when spring run-off causes flooding and also in the fall when the lakes are drawn down to get ready for winter. During the fall, guests can also enjoy the spectacular fall foliage.
