From our Millinocket Resort (Twin Pine Camps and Rice Farm Center)we're just down the road from 186 miles of hiking trails that cover the204,733 acres of Baxter State Park where you may begin or end your backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail (AT). In western Maine, our Lakeside Resort and Sterling Innare ideally situated to enjoy hiking and backpacking around the Forks,Moxie Falls (Maine's highest waterfall, more than 80 feet!) and Pleasant and Moxie Bald Mountains are all just a short ride from the Center. Either resort offers the perfect staging area for day hikes or longer hiking excursions -- for individuals and families. We can also provide a Maine hiking guide if you desire.
